7 Guiding Principals

During the Breakthrough Executive Board meetings, members are encouraged to apply these 7 proven principals to their own business.

Right Questions

Ask the right questions to the right people.   This means finding people in similar businesses that can be available to trade ideas with you.  It also means find people in other industries where you may be able to apply common principals know in that industry to your business.

Right People

Get the right people on the bus, in the right seats.

Right Strategy

Constantly search for the "Eureka Factor", the things that can change the rules of the game so the competitors cannot play.   And make sure your operational strategy is keeping pace with the changes in the business environment.

Right Focus

Get focused on exactly what you want to happen, and then take action.  Don't try to focus on too many things at once.  Better to have two things that get finished and in place, than 10 things that never get done.  This is the foundation of a Breakthrough Business.

Right Measurements

Have key performance indicators in place. You can’t manage what you don’t measure.   Start with one measurement and expand it to include all the things that affect your business performance.  Make them visible with charts and graphs on the walls.

Right Systems

Get systems implemented ahead of the business needs.   Good business systems can add tremendous value to the business, and can ensure a smooth running operation.  Most businesses wait until the system starts to break before addressing it.  Get out in front of the problem and let your business grow into your systems, instead of your systems holding you back.

Right Technology

Use technology strategically.   It is important to use technology effectively in any business, but done well it can have a strategic impact on your business.
